livebox-opensource, what a joke!
So Orange finally released some open source code for the Sagem livebox 1.
You can find it here: http://www.livebox-opensource.com/livebox1/sagem/
First impressions:
- Where are the Linux kernel sources?
- Where is OpenRG?
- A lot of other stuff are missing: The modified U-Boot, the bluetooth and wireless tools and drivers, etc.
- I didn't know openssl was GPLed!
I guess Orange should read the GPL FAQ, they are only proving how much they are violating the licenses by publishing such an incomplete and useless junk.
Of course, there is no contact address to ask for what is missing. I tried to talk with the packager through jabber (the tar archives were done by some user named ymorin), but as soon as I told him why I was contacting me, he blacklisted me. How rude!
